EN: The spring is behind the corner and plum trees in Japan are starting to bloom. Plum festivals may be not as famous and crowded as the ones during the hanami season, the weather is still a bit cold (well, considering the local averages), but they are still worth visiting. One of the most well-known plum festival spots in Tokyo is Hanegi Park in Setagaya, which is luckily for me only roughly 7km far from my flat, therefore I decided to test my repaired bike.
I think it is still too early even for the plums, they just started to bloom, but the festival is already taking place (there are posters on one of the photos highlighting it) and it was still nice and relaxing visit. Maybe later I will have a look again, when the trees will be in a full bloom.
SK: Jar je už za rohom a v Japonsku už začínajú kvitnúť slivky. Tie sú, podobne ako sakury, spájané s festivalmi, ktoré predchádzajú samotné obdobie hanami. Popularita ume matsuri (festival sliviek, preložené doslovne) nie je až taká vysoká ako v prípade hanami, dôvodom je aj chladnejšie počasie na lokálne pomery. Stále je to ale príjemné spestrenie dňa.
Preto som sa rozhodol otestovať môj opravený bicykel a vydal som sa do parku Hanegi, ktorý sa nachádza v časti Setagaya. Je známy práve početnými slivkami a aj festivalom, ktorý už prebieha. Stromy ale ešte ani zďaleka nie sú rozkvitnuté a je jasné, že som sa tam pozrel priskoro, no je to iba 7km vzdialené od môjho bytu, takže sa tam možno neskôr pozriem ešte raz.
