1. máj – Fuji, Shiraito Falls

EN: The first of May ended up with completely different scenario, I originally planned to visit the famous Shibazakura festival under the Mount Fuji, therefore I booked the Shinkansen to Shin-Fuji station. I was supposed to take the regular bus, which would take me directly to the festival site. When I arrived to Shin-Fuji, I wasn’t sure which bus to take, therefore I asked for the help in the tourist information center which is located directly inside of the train station. I was, however, warned that my visit of the festival would almost definitely and up as a massive disappointment, as the flowers, which make this place so well-know, were not yet blooming. These news were not very optimistic, but the staff quickly offered and alternative. I knew I had to work in the evening, therefore I didn’t really had much choice and I didn’t want to waste one day of JR Pass validity just to come to Shin-Fuji and then to return back to Tokyo. So I accepted the new plan – the visit of Shiraito falls, which is included in the list of UNESCO world heritage sites. There was another waterfall just 5 minutes away and later on I also visited the Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha. So at the end of the day I was really happy with the places I visited, the waterfalls were impressive.

SK: Prvý máj dopadol úplne inak, ako som ho pôvodne plánoval. Chcel som totiž navštíviť festiva Shibazakura, ktorý je preslávený svojimi farbami, zarezervoval som si teda Shinkansen do stanice Shin-Fuji, odkiaľ pravidelne odchádza autobus priamo do dejiska festivalu. Keď som dorazil, nevedel som presne, ktorý bus mám vlastne hľadať (nenaštudoval som si všetky dokumenty poriadne), takže som smeroval do turistického informačného centra. Takže napokon môj deň dopadol celkom dobre, ešte som navštívil aj Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha, no fotky odtiaľ nemám. Takže v konečnom dôsledku spokojnosť.
